Fondation Louis Vuitton is presenting an exhibition of works by Katharina Grosse, including the 2022 piece "Canyon." Grosse, born in Freiburg in 1961 and based in Berlin and New Zealand, has since the late 1990s used a spray gun to paint directly on institutional architecture, expanding into painted drapes and photographic fabric works. Her work is held in collections including the Centre Pompidou, Paris; the Museum of Modern Art, New York; the Pérez Art Museum Miami; Kunsthaus Zürich; and MAXXI Rome. Selected recent projects include "It Wasn't Us" at Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin, and "Mumbling Mud" at chi K11 art museum, Shanghai.
