The Frick Collection in New York will mount "Siena: The Art of Bronze, 1450–1500," the first exhibition dedicated to Siena as a center of bronze sculpture during the Italian Renaissance. The show brings together nearly forty works—including statues, reliefs, candelabra, and medals—by sculptors such as Donatello, Vecchietta, and Francesco di Giorgio. Many of these objects have never been shown outside Tuscany or in the United States. The exhibition is organized by associate curator Giulio Dalvit, who also authored the accompanying catalogue with an international team of scholars. Lenders include the Museo Nazionale del Bargello in Florence, the British Museum in London, and the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.
