Getty Research Institute Highlights Archive of Photographer Jerry McMillan Following Artist's Death at 89

The Getty Research Institute is highlighting the archive of photographer Jerry McMillan, who died in February in Pasadena at age 89. Acquired in 2015, the collection contains approximately 7,000 negatives and 375 prints documenting the Los Angeles art scene of the 1960s and 1970s. The archive includes iconic collaborative portraits of artists Ed Ruscha, Joe Goode, Judy Chicago, and Ed Bereal, as well as documentation of the landmark 1961 'War Babies' exhibition.
