Serpentine North to Host Major Amar Kanwar Solo Exhibition and Film Premiere in 2026

Serpentine North will present a solo exhibition of New Delhi-based artist and filmmaker Amar Kanwar from September 23, 2026, to January 31, 2027. The exhibition features the premiere of a new seven-screen film installation titled The Charcoal Man (2026) alongside existing works Such a Morning (2017) and The Peacock’s Graveyard (2023). Kanwar’s work utilizes moving image to explore themes of decolonization, social upheaval, and the history of the Indian subcontinent.
