The Getty Research Institute has launched its 2025–26 Consortium Seminar, "Art, Therapy, and the Problem of Repair," led by USC professor Suzanne Hudson. The 10-week program tasks graduate students from six Southern California universities with researching the Getty’s collections, including the papers of sculptor Malvina Hoffman and midcentury records of veteran rehabilitation. The initiative explores the historical intersection of modernism and art therapy, focusing on works produced in clinical settings and their status within art history.
