On September 14, 2026, Getty announced the launch of season two of 'If Objects Could Talk,' an award-winning family-friendly podcast that brings to life objects from its art collection. The second season features 10 episodes exploring stories behind works from the museum’s sculpture and decorative arts collection, housed at the Getty Center and spanning the Middle Ages to the late 19th century. The first episode, available now, is narrated by a flea on a Rococo French microscope, with upcoming episodes featuring a snail on a nine-foot bronze vase, a griffin on a chandelier, and a bronze horse. “We hope audiences will revel in these imaginative stories,” said Zoe Goldman, podcast producer at the J. Paul Getty Trust, highlighting the show’s screen-free entertainment and educational value.
