Grand Palais to Host First French Monographic Exhibition of Abstraction Pioneer Hilma af Klint
The Grand Palais is presenting the first major monographic exhibition in France dedicated to Swedish artist Hilma af Klint, a pioneer of abstract art whose work predates that of Wassily Kandinsky. Curated by art historian Pascal Rousseau, the exhibition highlights Klint's 'Paintings for the Temple' series, a collection of 193 works created between 1906 and 1915. The showcase follows the artist's global recognition after her 2018 retrospective at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York.
