V&A East has announced a solo exhibition by artist Carrie Mae Weems titled 'The Long Goodbye,' scheduled to run from April 18 to October 18, 2026. The featured film installation examines the relationship between transatlantic migration, bodies of water, and the development of cultural identities in East London and globally. The project explores how historical and contemporary movements of people across oceans serve as a foundation for global creativity and urban diversity.
