Hauser & Wirth Announces Three-Year Partnerships with Four UK Arts Organizations
Hauser & Wirth is partnering with Drawing Room, Gray’s School of Art at Robert Gordon University, Royal Drawing School and Whitechapel Gallery over the next three years to support public programs across the UK. The gallery’s initiatives focus on increasing access, professional development and community engagement with art and artists. Specific programs include the weekly ‘ROCK PAPER SCISSORS’ drawing sessions at Drawing Room for ages 7-11, the Mobile Art School outreach vehicle at Gray’s School of Art, an annual Drawing Festival and Teaching Fellowship at the Royal Drawing School, and the Youth Program for ages 15-24 at Whitechapel Gallery.
The Signal
The sustained three-year commitments build on Hauser & Wirth’s existing UK partnerships with institutions including South London Gallery and Spike Island. For collectors and curators the moves signal a strategic emphasis on long-term educational infrastructure rather than one-off projects, strengthening pathways for emerging artists and broadening audiences for contemporary drawing and participatory practice in London and Aberdeen.
