Hauser & Wirth Los Angeles Joins Getty and LACMA in Adopting Bizot Green Protocol Sustainability Standards
Hauser & Wirth Los Angeles has committed to the Bizot Green Protocol alongside Getty, LACMA, MOCA and the Hammer Museum. The protocol, introduced in 2015, sets flexible standards for temperature and humidity in gallery spaces and provides measures to reduce carbon emissions from exhibitions, loans and operations. At the Los Angeles gallery, operational changes already implemented include overnight HVAC shutdowns, wider temperature ranges and seasonal adjustments to climate systems.

These measures have reduced energy use and costs at the venue. The institutions continue to monitor and refine their approach in line with the protocol's updates reflecting climate change urgency and collection care requirements.
