Museum LACMA

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) officially opened the Peter Zumthor-designed David Geffen Galleries on April 19, 2026. The opening was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by civic leaders and artists, following the completion of the museum's new permanent collection building. LACMA members will receive priority access to the galleries through May 3, 2026, including a scheduled talk between Zumthor and Director Michael Govan on April 22.
