Lisson Gallery is presenting 'Who Does Not Love a Tree?', a new exhibition of work by the late Canadian artist Rodney Graham. The show includes monochrome C-prints such as Oak, Milcombe, captured in Oxfordshire in 1990 and inverted as though hanging upside-down. The works examine the connection between humans and nature through Graham's use of the camera obscura, with an accompanying quote from the artist in 2005 on the inversion of images before the brain rights them.

The Signal

The exhibition highlights Graham's interest in image-making and documentation, drawing on scientific views of perception as referenced in the 2005 statement. The gallery is sharing the presentation alongside an article by Tara Joshi published in The Observer. The featured work measures 183 x 231 cm and is a monochrome C-print produced in 1990.
