M+, Asia’s global museum of contemporary visual culture in Hong Kong’s West Kowloon Cultural District, hosted its fundraising M+ Gala 2026 on October 30, 2026, in the museum’s Main Hall. The event brought together over 450 distinguished guests from Hong Kong and around the world, including leading figures from the international art and cultural community such as artist Cao Fei, MoMA Director Christophe Cherix, and Centre Pompidou President Laurent Le Bon. The evening featured a live charity auction led by auctioneer Elaine Kwok, with six works by Asia’s leading artists donated by the artists and their galleries, including Dominique Fung with MASSIMODECARLO, Duan Jianyu with Vitamin Creative Space, and Takashi Murakami with Kaikai Kiki Co., Ltd. Additional lots included fine wines, a 5-day art and wine experience in South France, and a collectable MEGA ROYAL MOLLY figure. All proceeds from the gala will support M+’s future growth and operations, including collection and preservation, exhibitions, commissions, research, and public programmes.
