Serpentine to Present Major Cecily Brown Solo Exhibition in London Opening March 2026
Serpentine South will present Picture Making, a solo exhibition of new and recent works by Cecily Brown, from March 27 to September 6, 2026. The show marks a homecoming for the British artist who has lived and worked in New York for the past 30 years. It brings together paintings inspired by Kensington Gardens alongside works dating back to 2001 and recent monotypes and drawings.
The Signal
The exhibition underscores Brown's sustained engagement with themes of nature and park life across three decades of practice. For collectors and curators it offers direct insight into the continuities in her approach to composition and subject matter, from early English landscape memories to current output, within a major public institution setting.
