Tate Modern Announces September Late Event Featuring Performance by Joy Crookes and Talk by Do Ho Suh
Tate Modern will present an exclusive performance by singer-songwriter Joy Crookes at its Late event on September 26, 2025, in the South Tanks of the Blavatnik Building. Crookes will perform tracks from her new album Juniper, which explores themes of migration, memory and place, in dialogue with The Genesis Exhibition: Do Ho Suh: Walk the House. The evening also includes an artist talk by Do Ho Suh and reflections from co-curator Nabila Abdel Nabi, followed by screenings from Suh's Bridge Project. DJ sets by Eastern Margins, Sijya, Danalogue and Mari*, a collage workshop on the theme of home, and extended gallery access until 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays from September 26 are also scheduled.
The Signal
The program links Crookes' songwriting, rooted in London neighborhoods including Brixton and Brick Lane, with Suh's three-decade survey of works examining architecture, belonging and imagined homes across Seoul, New York and London. By pairing a rising musician with an established artist whose exhibition has drawn sustained attendance, Tate Modern extends its monthly Late format to connect music, visual art and audience participation around shared ideas of place and identity.
