Artcurial Old Masters Sale Totals €21.2M, Sets World Record for Guido Reni
Artcurial's November 25, 2025 auction, conducted under Matthieu Fournier in collaboration with Millon, totaled €21,251,779 including fees, three times the overall estimate. Guido Reni's rediscovered 17th-century painting sold for €12,386,600, setting a world record for the artist at auction. Jean-Francois de Troy's composition realized €4,067,600, Osias Beert's still life fetched €503,120, and Francesco Guardi's view of the Rialto Bridge achieved €556,080. Anne Henriette Adélaïde's portrait sold for €582,560, establishing a world record for the artist, while a group of bronze and terracotta sculptures by Pietro Cipriani was also offered.
The Signal
Strong results for rediscovered Old Master paintings and established records for Reni and Adélaïde signal sustained collector demand for rare 17th- and 18th-century works at the upper end of the market. The sale's performance three times above estimate provides a benchmark for valuation of comparable rediscoveries and supports continued international consignments to Artcurial's upcoming Old Masters auctions.
