The Facts
The Sculpture Park at Jaigarh Fort in Jaipur will present the group exhibition 'Traces of Us' from November 19, 2026, through January 18, 2027. The show features artist Shilpa Gupta, known for installations and sculptural works that explore borders, memory, and everyday objects. The exhibition will be on view at the City Palace Museum's sculpture park in Jaipur's Old City.
The Signal
Holding the show at an 18th-century fort rather than a conventional gallery space reflects a growing turn toward site-specific contemporary art in heritage settings across South Asia. For collectors, the placement signals institutional validation for Gupta within India, where the contemporary art market has been expanding steadily. It also positions Jaipur as a destination for ambitious public sculpture projects.
