Hauser & Wirth to Expand West Coast Presence with New Palo Alto Gallery Opening in 2026
Hauser & Wirth will open a new gallery in Palo Alto in a historic post office building at 201-225 Hamilton Avenue. The 2,600-square-foot space includes a bookshop and will host exhibitions, events and talks. It will be designed by architect Luis Laplace and is scheduled to open in Spring 2026. The location extends the gallery’s West Coast presence alongside its Downtown Los Angeles complex opened in 2016 and West Hollywood site opened in 2023.
The Signal
The move strengthens Hauser & Wirth’s position in a region with established collectors and museums, complementing its Los Angeles program. For collectors and curators the new site creates additional access to the gallery’s roster in Northern California and signals continued investment in the Bay Area’s institutional and private networks.
