Hunx and His Punx to Perform at Getty Center’s Off the 405 Concert Series
Hunx and His Punx will perform at the Getty Center as part of the Off the 405 concert series on June 13. The garage punk band, consisting of Seth Bogart, Shannon Shaw and Erin Emslie, has been active for over 10 years and ended a five-year hiatus with an invitation to play at filmmaker John Waters' birthday party. Bogart discussed the band's four costume changes, including Man-Eater vests inspired by the 1968 film She-Devils on Wheels, and referenced influences such as Bikini Kill, Kenneth Anger and underground queer culture.
