On March 13, 2026, Lisson Gallery released details of a collaboration between Akris creative director Albert Kriemler and Colombian textile artist Olga de Amaral for the Fall 2026 collection. The project originated nearly a decade ago when Kriemler first sought to work with Amaral and was revived after he visited her at Casa de Amaral in Bogotá following her exhibition at the Fondation Cartier in Paris. Amaral, now in her nineties, produces her large-scale woven pieces with a small team she calls her “fourteen hands,” a process Kriemler linked to the collective methods of his own atelier.
