British artist Nigel Cooke will serve as the first-ever artist in residence at the Fondazione Querini Stampalia in Venice from May 5 to November 22, 2026. During the residency, Cooke will produce a series of large-scale paintings in a studio overlooking the Rio di Santa Maria Formosa. The project will culminate in an exhibition of five new works displayed in the Portego della Biblioteca, the same location where they were created.
