Turner Contemporary presents Learning to See, an exhibition by Bridget Riley running November 22, 2025 to May 4, 2026 in the Selman Gallery, Irene Willett Gallery, South Gallery, North Gallery and Balcony. The show surveys Riley’s connection to the natural world through works from the late 1960s, recent canvases, wall paintings from the last decade and preparatory drawings on paper. It is curated by Senior Curator Melissa Blanchflower and the artist, and admission is free.

The Signal

The exhibition places Riley’s recurring motifs of line, curve, circle and triangle in dialogue across decades, including Winter Palace (1981) and new work Pharaoh (2024). Riley’s practice, rooted in her experience of the Cornish coast, responds directly to the shifting light and architecture of the Margate venue. The presentation underscores her ongoing influence on perceptual art and her position in international museum collections.
