Uffizi Galleries Expand Collection with Donation of Six Historical Works
The Uffizi Galleries have added six works to their permanent collection, including a 16th-century drawing and pieces from the 17th and 20th centuries. The acquisition features a panel depicting the Ascension of Christ by Maso da San Friano, donated by the Amici degli Uffizi. The museum also recently recovered a 16th-century painting stolen from the church of San Michele a Monteripaldi with the assistance of the Carabinieri TPC. These works are part of a broader institutional initiative to integrate new acquisitions into the museum's expanded exhibition spaces.
