Art Basel Paris announced its fifth edition, taking place at the Grand Palais from October 23–25, 2026, with preview days on October 21 and 22. The fair will bring together 211 leading international galleries, including 64 with spaces in France, and features 183 galleries in the Galeries sector, 16 solo presentations in Emergence, and 12 historically focused projects in Premise. Thirty-two galleries participate for the first time, and six graduate from Emergence to the main sector. The public program expands across nine Paris venues, including the Petit Palais, Palais d’Iéna, and Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoine, with commissions by artists such as Tracey Emin, Cosima von Bonin, and Alice Diop. The 2025 edition attracted over 73,000 visitors and representatives from more than 240 museums and foundations.

The 2026 edition underscores Paris’s growing centrality in the global art market, which reached USD 4.5 billion in sales in 2025, representing 8% of the world market and over half of the EU market by value, according to the Art Basel & UBS Global Art Market Report 2026. The fair’s integration with the city’s cultural institutions and its emphasis on emerging galleries and cross-disciplinary practices signal a strategic shift toward place-based programming that extends beyond the traditional fair model. For collectors and curators, the expanded Premise sector and record joint booths offer opportunities to engage with historically grounded and collaborative presentations, while the public program positions Art Basel Paris as a key driver of cultural tourism and institutional partnerships in one of the world’s most dynamic art ecosystems.
