Top lots included a 13th/14th century gilt copper figure of Shakyamuni Buddha that sold for $1,392,500, and a 15th century Tibetan sculpture of Avalokiteshvara for $1,212,500. Other notable results: a rare Nepalese bronze of Manjusri for $672,500, and a hanging scroll by Yu Feian for $348,500.

The $16.96 million total — driven by Indian, Himalayan & Southeast Asian art and the Maitri Collection — signals sustained appetite for Asian works in New York.
