Glenn Brown is a British contemporary artist.
He is known for the use of appropriation in his paintings. Starting with reproductions from other artists' works, he transforms the appropriated image by changing its colour, position, orientation, height and width relationship, mood and/or size.
In 2026 he appeared in conversation with curator Iwona Blazwick at the Hellenic Centre in London, discussing methods and meaning in his practice along with echoes of Greek mythology and influences from old and modern masters.
