via Guggenheim

The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi shared the architectural vision for Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, designed by the late Pritzker Prize-winning architect Frank Gehry. Located in the Saadiyat Cultural District, the museum is inspired by Abu Dhabi's landscape, climate and coastal setting. It features 28 galleries, 11,600 square metres of interior space and 23,000 square metres of outdoor exhibition areas, including ten distinctive cones. The museum opens December 11, 2026.

The Gehry-designed Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, opening December 11, marks the late architect's last major museum commission and a significant cultural anchor for the Gulf.
